INDIVIDUAL TUITION
Deciding on the right instrument and teacher for your child can be made easier with a short chat with Director Lesley Cronin. Observation of lessons underway and meeting the various teachers at the school is also a good idea. Our teaching approaches are flexible and may include traditional, Suzuki, or other methods with a classical, jazz and/or contemporary repertoire. Your appointed teacher will be able to choose a programme best suited to your child.
Individual tuition can also be complemented with one of our music groups or theory classes.
WHO WILL TEACH YOUR CHILD?
Our staff is a committed team of music education professionals who have a combined range of skills in music teaching, performance and child education. Many teach at other institutions and perform regularly in their own ensembles.
All of our teachers have different skills and specialisations which means that we can accommodate every child.
CONCERTS
Concerts are an especially important event at Parkville Music School where all children are given the opportunity to perform. Whether it be their very first piece or a duet with Mum or Dad, the children are encouraged to share their growing musical skills with other children at the school and their families. Concerts are held regularly throughout the term and children can choose to participate when they wish.
Parkville Music School is excited to announce the inclusion of music therapy services for children and adults. Both group and individual services are offered and all sessions are facilitated by a Registered Music Therapist. NDIS and HCWA funding is available.
